One of our goals is to recruit, train and effectively use volunteers for the ongoing activities and functions at Malvern Family Resource Centre.

Volunteers are an integral part of the Centre. They have allowed us to continue and extend our range of programs and services. Volunteers at the Centre help to create an atmosphere of warmth and friendship, while handling many tasks that make the time spent at the Centre pleasant for everyone. Malvern Family Resource Centre certainly could not function without the countless hours of service provided by our dedicated volunteers. In the past year volunteers contributed a total of nearly 10,000 hours of their valuable time!

Volunteer recruitment continues on a regular basis. We have worked with the Volunteer Centre, the local schools, libraries, public events, community centres and the community at large to find people qualified for every task. Training is provided on a regular basis and we are always evaluating our volunteer program to improve our services.

Volunteers are recognized on a regular basis for their contributions to the centre through special events such as the Annual Volunteer Dinner. Volunteers have the opportunity to recieve special awards such as Volunteer of the Year.
