Malvern Family Resource Centre Holds Annual General Meeting!
Toronto , ON [Tuesday, March 27, 2007] – Malvern Family Resource Centre will hold it's Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, March 28 th . The meeting will start at 6 PM and is scheduled to end at 8 PM. This year the meeting will take place at the Malvern Recreation Centre, in the Community Room, which is located at 30 Sewells Road .
This year's guest speakers include Karen Keary from Asling Discoveries Child and Family Centre and Laurel Rothman who is the Director of Community Building and Social Reform at Family Service Association of Toronto. Karen Keary will be speaking on the “Importance of Parent and Families in the First 6 years of a Childs Life”. Laurel Rothman will be addressing the “Factors Required to Strengthen the Social Fibers of the Community and How We Can Make It Happen.”
Malvern Family Resource Centre has also invited the Real Canadian Anthem Search finalist, Emily Carr Public School . The choir will showcase its version of the Canadian National Anthem during the event.
For more than twenty-two years, Malvern Family Resource Centre has been providing programs and services to residents of Malvern and is committed to meeting the diverse and changing needs of our community. MFRC is made up of 5 centres, which include; the Youth Centre, Seniors Centre, Women's Place, Ontario Early Years and our Family Centre. We provide many services, such as an income tax clinic, legal clinic, and parent relief. Our departments offer an array of programs to support children, youth, adults and seniors.
