
Malvern Family Resource Centre’s Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Niambi Martin-John as MFRC’s new Executive Director.
Following an extensive search process, Niambi joins MFRC with more than two decades of leadership experience across the nonprofit, health charity, social justice and community sectors.
A social change champion, community mobilizer, advocate and fund development specialist, Niambi brings a leadership approach grounded in partnership, equity and community voice. Throughout her career, she has built meaningful partnerships, strengthened community-led solutions and advanced advocacy that supports healthy, thriving communities. Her work has also focused on creating stronger pathways of support for people and communities facing systemic barriers.
Most recently, Niambi served as Executive Director of Peel Family Education Centre, an organization dedicated to strengthening families through parent education and support. She has also served as a professor at Seneca College, where she taught Strategic Planning and Organizational Partnerships in the Nonprofit Leadership and Management postgraduate program.
Niambi’s commitment to community extends beyond her professional roles. She has volunteered with several charities, groups and associations focused on women’s and youth empowerment, poverty alleviation and equity. Her dedication to ending stigma, removing barriers and expanding access to opportunity strongly aligns with MFRC’s mission and values.
We are excited to welcome Niambi into this next chapter of MFRC’s journey. Her experience, values and commitment to community will help guide MFRC as we continue creating pathways for people to connect, belong and thrive.
